QUALIFICATIONS

I have a strong knowledge and passion for the Australian film and television industry. After completing an Advanced Diploma of Film and Television Production at RMIT I have worked in the camera and lighting departments for various independent media, corporate and commercial production companies as well as on the sets of high quality short films through RMIT and the VCA. These positions have given me hands on experience with professional equipment, as well as experiencing the expectations of working within a professional team. 

As an independent filmmaker I have had great experience in scripting, shooting and editing both film and digital video. I have overseen productions from the early development stages of pre-production through to post production and final print. I have contributed in various roles, including writer, director and cinematographer for various commercial media; government funded projects, as well as self commissioned pieces.
I have largely had experience in short form story telling through short films as well as working on the sets of television commercials. In 2008 my short film ‘epilogue’ achieved some minor success and recognition. The film was short listed in the ‘Shorts Outback Film Festival’ and took part in its sister festival in England, the prestigious ‘Rushes Soho Shorts Festival’ in which sixteen films were chosen to represent new and up coming talent from Australia.

In regards to documentary experience, I have worked on a visual audit commissioned by the Australian Government Human Resources Department, in which I was able to draw on my experience from completing a three year Advanced Diploma of Film and Television Production at RMIT which included the process of documentary film making. Prior to this I have also completed an intensive short course of Documentary and Video Production.

I am confident to work both independently as well as within a team environment. I love collaborating with other creative people to work towards a common goal. 
I am hard working, enthusiastic and reliable.
